Noma-Khawuta Moshani is a UCT, ARISE PhD research Fellow in Public Mental Health. Her background and interests are in academia, community development and leadership. Her previous work was on exploring the mental health support needs of Xhosa young men who transition from adolescence to manhood in the absence of a present/involved father. For her PhD, she is working with SADAG to adapt and test a brief-remote counselling intervention for SADAG callers at risk for depression, anxiety or unhealthy alcohol use.
