ALIVE

Improving Adolescent Mental Health by Reducing the Impact of Poverty (ALIVE). Funded by the Wellcome Trust, ALIVE seeks to understand how poverty affects common mental health conditions (depression and anxiety) among adolescents and their ability to self-regulate. To this end, ALIVE conducted a pilot cluster randomised controlled trial to evaluate an intervention addressing poverty and strengthening self-regulation among adolescents living in urban poverty in three participating countries: Colombia, Nepal and South Africa.
